Marcello Andres Ortega

Marcello Andres Ortega is a Dallas-based ceramic artist. His functional work is rooted in cultivating conviviality and celebrating the art of nourishment, themes inspired by the family-style dinners Marcello regularly experienced as the youngest of his Chilean-immigrant family.

In 2017, Marcello left a career in finance to open his ceramics art studio, collaborating with restaurateurs, chefs, and mixologists to design pieces that are in alignment with their vision. Now, under the brand Marcello Andres Ceramics, Marcello employs artists to assist in the production of his own line of plates. He continues to scale his business in order to achieve Marcello Andres Ceramics’ larger goal of supporting more artists.
