About the speaker

Max Temkin, a fellow Designer in Chicago, is the co-creator of the hilarious and beloved party game for horrible people, Cards Against Humanity. Unlike most of the party games you’ve played before, Cards Against Humanity is as despicable and awkward as you and your friends. It’s become recognized across the globe as one of the best ways to spice up a party, and it was created right here in our very own backyard with a little help from Kickstarter.

Max is also the creator of the games Humans vs. Zombies and Werewolf. His newest collaboration with Veronica Corzo-Duchardt resulted in Podcast Thing, a website that helps people find great podcasts to listen to.

Just help people. If you are one of those people who has figured out what you are about and what you believe in, that's what being a philosopher is about. Just talk about those ideas and help people who have not figured it out yet. — Max Temkin

Thanks again for a great event last month. Max's philosophy based presentation was fantastic. A few other nuggets from my notes:

"Confusion is the beginning of knowledge"

    "Meaning comes from use"

"People want advice. Listen to people, find ways you can help them. Teach people what you know and what you believe in."
