Karimah takes us through her creative journey as a painter and her latest project bringing people closer during covid-19

About the speaker

We’re so excited to have Karimah Hassan, who creates live paintings at performance events across London to highlight the importance of communities in the city. Born in Wales with Yemeni and Bangladeshi heritage, Karimah’s recent commissions include public murals for Toronto Arts Council and a current group exhibition at the Maddox Gallery (you might also have spotted her at previous CM events).

Taking us through her own work and journey, Karimah is going to talk about the nature of creativity and its resilience, especially evident in times like these. Bring your questions: how can we stay creative at home? Where can we seek inspiration? Right now, what counts as being creative?
