About the speaker

Pollyanne Faith Birge, M.P.A is a born and raised Spokanite with a 25 year stint in Portland, Oregon. Formerly the Arts and Culture Policy Director for Portland Mayor Sam Adams’ and Portland City Commissioner, Chloe Eudaly, she is a dedicated advocate for the arts, social justice and creative expression.

Pollyanne has also acted as the Executive Director for the Independent Publishing Resource Center as well as the Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. She has served on numerous boards of directors including Stumptown Comics Fest and Design Week Portland and currently serves as the Chair of Education at the Spokane Preservation Advocates and Board President of Terrain. She loves print art, illustration, and zines, organizational strategic planning, and music of genres (but is of course an old-school punk at heart).
