Katie Arevalo

Katie Sarai is a junior at the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. She is a youth organizer for the Baltimore Algebra Project, a youth-run Baltimore-based organization, where she works on projects, such as community control and organizing students around standardized testing. She plans to study international relations and education in college. Her hopes for change in Baltimore are to see student empowerment and leadership in education.
