About Our Keynote Speaker: Dr. Susan Swick, MD, MPH

She’s the force behind Ohana, a center for child and adolescent behavioral health at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. Her expertise, drawn from years of dedicated practice, including her significant role at Newton Wellesley Hospital and her contribution to Harvard Medical School, brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to our theme of ‘Pain.’

Musical Depth by Wendi Kirby

Wendi, an award-winning musician recognized by the Music Teachers National Association and recipient of the Steinway Top Teacher Award in 2021, will be gracing us with her talent. A master of classical music, Wendi’s recent album “Bloom” showcases her skill in creating emotionally resonant classical vignettes. With over 30 years of teaching experience and numerous leadership roles in music education, her performance will be as enlightening as it is meaningful.

Ready for an Enlightening Morning?
So, mark your calendars for December 15th. Come for the insights, stay for the music, and leave with a renewed perspective on 'Pain.’ Let’s gather, learn, share, and grow together!

📸 Announcing Our Upcoming Event on November 17th with Zach Weston 📸

Immerse yourself in an enriching experience with Zach Weston, a key figure in our local contemporary photographic scene. While he draws inspiration from the Weston lineage, Zach has truly carved his own niche in the world of photography.

He shares, “I am really glad my parents didn’t force photography on me. They let it happen naturally and if they hadn’t, it would have ruined the experience for me.”

After a stint in San Diego, Zach’s passion and vision led him back home. In 2017, he took the helm as the Executive Director at The Weston Collective. Under his leadership, the organization saw significant growth, notably establishing its mark in Seaside, CA, and forging a substantial partnership with the Martin Luther King Jr. School of the Arts. Here, Zach began teaching elementary school children about the wonders of darkroom photography.

More than just a photographer, Zach embodies the spirit of a dedicated educator. He envisions a world where every child is given the opportunity to tap into the artistic realm—a foundational aspect of holistic development. Through modern outreach methods while paying homage to timeless artistic techniques, Zach is on a mission to shape the future of photography.

Join us, along with Zach and The Weston Collective, at Wave Street Studios to dive into this enthralling world of art, photographic rhythm and vision. Details below:
