Professor Brooks Atwood wants you to design like you mean it.
To celebrate the end of another fantastic CreativeMornings year we thought we’d continue last year’s tradition and turn the mic to you, our audience. We sent out an open call for anyone interested to apply to speak at CreativeMornings this month in New York City, London, Milan or Geneva.
Here in New York, Brooks Atwood took the stage, kicking things off by roaring as loud as possible. Brooks shares lessons learned as a professor, working to inspire his students.
About the speaker
Brooks Atwood, Assistant Professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, is the founder and principal of POD DESIGN. With work that spans from art and sculpture to innovative architecture to products, Atwood’s work pushes the boundaries of conventional design.
He has collaborated on award-winning art and sculpture installations, and his work is part of the permanent collection at the Samsung Museum of Art in Seoul, Korea. Brooks was also a featured designer on the DIY Network for Esquire Magazine’s The Ultimate Bachelor Pad as well as on Showtime for the Showtime Show House, The United States of Tara.
