Kate Meier

Kate Meier is the founder and head designer of Craftmade Aprons, a Minnesota-based company known for its handcrafted, premium aprons designed for chefs, bartenders, and creatives. Inspired by her family—especially her three sons, all professional chefs—Kate created a line of aprons that combine durability, comfort, and style. Her designs feature ergonomic cross-back straps, reinforced stitching, and high-quality fabrics like poly-cotton twill, denim, and kevlar, ensuring that each apron stands up to the demanding environment of a professional kitchen.

Founded in 2018, Craftmade Aprons has quickly gained a reputation among culinary professionals across the U.S. for its thoughtful design and craftsmanship. Kate's brand embodies her dedication to excellence and passion for supporting the culinary community.

In addition to her work as a designer, Kate is deeply committed to giving back. She is involved with the Help the House Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting and uplifting hospitality workers facing financial, health, and personal challenges. Kate’s ongoing mission is to provide functional, beautiful aprons while helping the industry she loves.

Despite living with chronic autoimmune conditions, Kate continues to design, sew, and grow Craftmade Aprons and Help the House Foundation, remaining committed to her family, her craft, and her community.
