IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Day Parking is limited for Aurora Picture Show. Attendees are encouraged to carpool for this event. Street parking is available on Bartlett St. and North Blvd. Also, for this one time only the nice folks over at Goode Co. Barbecue and the Armadillo Palace (both locations are near Kirby) will allow our attendees to park in their parking lot until 10:30am.

The next Creative Mornings Houston event is sneaking up rapidly! OH MY GOSH! It’s happening this coming Friday, the 28th! We’re very excited! But, we could use some helping hands…
We’re in need of 5 to 6 volunteers, who can help check in people and guide people to available parking, etc. We would need your help at Aurora Picture Show from 8:00—9:00am. If you’re interested in helping out—please email us at erma@culturepilot.com or shawna@culturepilot.com. 

Hillerbrand + Magsamen will be the featured speakers for March 28th. They will be speaking on the topic of “Hidden.”

Hillerbrand + Magsamen are a collaborative husband and wife visual artist team of Stephan Hillerbrand and Mary Magsamen. They expand their personal family life into a contemporary art conversation about family dynamics, suburban life and consumer excess with their performance based videos, photography and installations. They exhibit their work internationally in galleries, museums and festivals. They have been awarded grants from Austin Film Society’s Texas Filmmakers’ Production Fund, Ohio Arts Council, Houston Arts Alliance, a Carol Crow Fellowship from the Houston Center for Photography and they received a Houston Airport System’s video commission to be installed in the fall of 2014 at Intercontinental Airport. Stephan Hillerbrand is an Associate Professor at the University of Houston and Mary Magsamen is the Curator at Aurora Picture Show. They have two children, three dogs and a chicken.

To kick things off at Dance Source Houston, for Creative Mornings Houston—we asked this amazing man if he would play a few songs for us. Sergio Trevino, the vocals/guitar for Buxton & Ancient Cat Society, not only agreed—but was happy to serenade a packed house so early in the morning! Great job, Sergio! Everyone loved you!

The straight-talking, no bs, Aimee Woodall kicked ass in her talk on the subject of “Rebel.” She spoke to a packed house at Dance Source Houston, kicking off our very first Creative Mornings Houston event! Oh my goodness! The FIRST EVER CREATIVE MORNINGS HOUSTON is finally here. Please join us for this kick off event on Friday, February 28th at Dance Source Houston featuring one of the most rebellious leaders in the creative community, Aimee Woodall of the BlackSheep Agency.  Who better to discuss February’s theme of rebel, than the leader of the flock?Plus, we will have a short music performance by Sergio Trevino of Buxton and the Ancient Cat Society. 

*Parking is available in Dance Source Houston’s lot (the one right at the door) and on the street for free. There is a paid lot behind the Barn along Preston.
